new talent meets old talent on stil vor talent. thats how we roll. label daddy oliver koletzki was so impressed with the winner of the niko schwind remix competition that he is now releasing two tracks by him on this ep. meet ryan dupree who shares this release with sonic mastermind erich lesovsky, one of the most exciting sound creators this side of the atlantic.

already supported by johnny d., someone else, laurent garnier, jennifer cardini, florian meindl, david keno.. erich lesovsky is the newest addition to stil vor talents exciting artist roster. here comes someone who is totally fascinated and absorbed by technology, someone who only performs as a live act in the clubs and - in the time of digital machinery - still works on constructing his own devices to make music with. after singles for wba and keno records, it is now the time for his first release on oliver koletzkis stil vor talent imprint and mr. lesovsky is very happy to be part of the family. so are we, of course! not only, but also because his first ep is a killer display of musical wizardry. it stars off with >bell a donna<, a minimal funk-laden piece of music that is mainly based on some crisp beats, many warm effects and sounds and a melody so simple, yet so encapsulating to capture the heart of every dancer in the club. this is oldskool minimal funk at its best! next up is >93 percent<, a title that might be misleading at first, because this track sounds more like 150 percent really. a great loop made of fidgety techno hi-hats and some wonderful warm analogue sounds - this could well be termed a new form of fidget techno. last up is >riot beatz<, an experimental display of minimal sound design, yet still very danceable. lots of crystal bashing beats, a pumping bass and many little effects - this will definitely be one for the dancefloor in the morning hours. not only does e. lesovsky seem a master of sound, his expertise seems to cover the perfect creation of warm, yet basic tech anthems and his influences seem to come from all sorts of musical directions, from hip-hop to funk to house back to techno. it is the easiness with which he delivers his music that makes his sound designs so special!

new album of previously unreleased music recorded 1962 at auditorium maximum/ freie universität in berlin. austrian genius friedrich gulda on piano and baritone saxophone, leading a 13-piece, top-shelf lineup of players featuring benny bailey, erich kleinschuster, georg riedel, fatty george, arne domnérus and ack van rooyen. sparkling modern jazz in front of an excited audience, including parkers anthropology, monks round about midnight plus original material by gulda and riedel, with world premiere of “music for three soloists and band. it is the rhythmic drive, the risk, the absolute contrast to the pale, academic approach i had been taught. with a history going back more than 20 years, suicide circus is one of the most established clubs for electronic music in berlin. several djs of international reputation have started their careers in the small, dark and sweaty first venue. several locations later the club still exists and boasts a million hot nights and a constant contribution to berlins vivid scene.
this cd is one of 2 cds which we are releasing to share the sound with you that we love so much. this cd stands for the brighter musical side of our club, mixed gently by our resident dj sqim, to bring back all the memories to the uncountable incredible moments under our typical parachute. all artists featured in this mix are regular guests and part of our club and give us our musical face.

it might sound like an empty phrase, but when oliver koletzki founded stil vor talent in 2005, he certainly didnt anticipate where his label would be today. now - six years and over sixty releases later - stil vor talent can look back at many magnificent moments in the labels history. originally started to give other musicians the chance to showcase their music, stil vor talent has preserved this very down-to-earth attitude until today and has helped foster the careers of producers such as channel x, niko schwind, juli holz or david august to name just a few. while there have never been any musical or stylistic limitations, an open philosophy dominated by quality and individualism prevails at olivers label, from delicately designed record sleeves to their own fashion line and to music that varies from house to pop to jacking dancefloor cuts. now it is time to congratulate everyone involved and the fans of stil vor talent with a special birthday present: a six-year anniversary compilation that celebrates past, present and future of the label on two cds
